DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscover the unique joys of this powdery medium. It is considered both a drawing and a painting medium and is extremely versatile \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis was a well-loved scene of South Padre Sand Dunes when I painted it with soft pastels some years ago and I’d love to do so again with you! We’ll use charcoal and pastel pencils in addition to our regular soft pastels on a sanded paper made with clear gesso. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs is often the case in Zan’s classes\, emphasis will be on technique with encouragement to play with colors and forms if desired.\nGeared toward the beginner and experienced painter alike\, you will walk away empowered and excited to apply what you’ve learned!  Zan believes that the chance results that occur when using serendipitous techniques fosters increased creativity and an intimate connection with whatever medium one is working with.
