SUMMARY:Sumi-e Wild Orchids and Butterflies
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to capture the essence of a subject with simplicity and spontaneity using traditional sumi brushes and black ink. We’ll begin with a demo of the very meditative process of making ink on a grinding stone and move on to the brush strokes that will evoke the spirit of our subject!\nToday we’ll explore the process with the traditional sumi-e subject Wild Orchids & add some colorful Butterflies too! 😊\nThis class is offered at Betsy Price Community Center as part of the Community Outreach Program for The City of Fort Worth and requires sign up through them. \nIn a nutshell\, if you wish to take one class at a time (this class is $35 + supplies & a nominal membership fee) you will sign up there the day of class or you may sign up for the entire month at a discount online (or at the Community Center).
