Had fun with the creation of 'Contemplation Eyes on Peace' some years ago. It was adapted from a design project I did long ago at UT Austin while enrolled in their Fine Art Program & seems especially pertinent one again...

$Don't you just love a good painting hack?! Now that Ive added soft pastel classes to House of NeVille Gallery and Gatherings in addition to Thomas Place Community Center this is especially perfect to do while being weather bound 😄 Here I've painted bristol board & regular pastel paper with Clear Liquitex Gesso to make a lovely sanded surface at a fraction of the cost of sanded papers! 🥰😄🎨 #softpasteltechniques #unleashyourinnerartist #artcommunity$

Update: Weather did Not permit! I'll put this back on the schedule in February... Wednesday, weather permitting, we're painting 'Golden Stream' at Thomas Place Community Center! I was really looking forward to class today, but if you receive my newsletter you already know with the dangerous driving conditions, I have canceled today's (Saturday Jan 24th) drawing class at Thomas Place Commumity Center. I plan to reschedule the same Iris drawing lesson next month during Capture the Essence week on Saturday February 21st! Stay warm!
