- 2.5hr Sessions in Pastel – Discover the unique joys of this powdery medium. It is considered both a drawing and a painting medium and is extremely versatile. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone say “I have a box of pastels, but I don’t know how to use them”! - 2hr Sessions Flow Painting – Pouring, puddling, dripping, swiping… these classes will explore the exciting possibilities in the technique often called Pour Acrylics! At its simplest it is pouring paint across a canvas instead of applying it with a brush. But why stop there? They make gorgeous paintings as is or as a unique background for your next painting and there are ample pour techniques and color combinations to indulge our creative whimsy indefinitely!
Be prepared to bring your painting home quite wet – it will continue to develop and dry for at least 24hours.Add $10 to the regular price and I will provide all of your supplies!

Whether acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastels, drawing, mixed media, sculpture or more – let me use my many years of experience in the arts to help guide you in your creations. This would also be a great time to enhance a Flow painting or perhaps pour another!

- 4hr Sessions in Mixed Media – We will expand on the inherent versatility of acrylics by adding other mediums, specialty papers, 3D embellishments and what ever else suits our fancy! - 2.5 & 4hr Sessions in Sumi-e Technique – Learn how to capture the essence of a subject with simplicity and spontaneity using traditional sumi brushes and black ink. We’ll begin with a demo of the very meditative process of making ink on a ginding stone and move on to the brush strokes that will evoke the spirit of our subject! This is a class for all skill levels, even those of you that feel you have little talent and doubt that you could ever learn. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone can learn how to draw and I have seen it happen!
