I honestly believe anyone can learn to paint. In fact, one of my greatest joys is being a part of someone's artistic journey 🥰

'Playground for Mother Nature's Creatures' began while demoing a balloon smash technique in class with my awesome students yesterday! I learned something myself when I got home with it several hours later & discovered I could still manipulate it with more balloon smash action!
Sometimes when I just want to let go, I find it helpful to just Go With the Flow!

There is much to tantalize our thoughts in a gently falling feather from above...is it a sign or simply the molting of a bird overhead? Mayhaps a guardian angel is letting us know they are close by? Whatever they may bring to mind I find them a beautiful sight...

'Feather's Adrift' was created in a directed feather string pull acrylic pour technique... I am quite fond of the serendipitous effects

'Looking to Land' began as a value study using black and white gesso to create a stark contrast capturing the essence of the scene.  I knew by layering transparent glazes of color I could create additional drama for the hazy mist enveloping the scene -but what color to choose? I thought blue would've worked well, but I originally chose green  as you can see on 'Enchanted River'. Here I finally tried the blues! It depends entirely on my mood which I like better!
