We will expand on the inherent versatility of acrylics by adding other mediums, specialty papers, 3D embellishments and whatever else suits our fancy!

Today we’ll create an Abstract Cityscape. I had a wonderful time misting with inks and dyes on ripped book paper on canvas. We will use our acrylics and palette knives too As always there is lots of room for innovation in the mixed media classes!

‘Nymph’ was the very first Mixed Media class I taught in ZanArt classes so I’m very excited to teach it again! We’ll layer papers and have fun bedazzling the enchanting face with a variety of embellishments. I’ll have an outline of her for you to use and show you how to paint her as well!

Today I’ll show you how to paint ‘Festive Reindeer’. In keeping with the season, I’ve wrapped lights through the reindeer’s antlers (of course you may play with the colors of the lights or even skip that part if you wish).  Don’t worry I will have a tracing for the reindeer too 😊

Acrylic Christmas Tree in the Forest

Wouldn’t it be fun to come upon a brightly lit Christmas tree in the middle of a snow covered forest? My version of the fun Grumbacher lesson ‘Christmas Tree Landscape’  by Donna Gallant does just that! There will be lots of room to play with the colorful lights of and sky – of course I’ll show you how!😊
