Pastel Sand Dunes

 

Discover the unique joys of this powdery medium. It is considered both a drawing and a painting process and is extremely versatile!
This was a well-loved scene of South Padre Sand Dunes the first time we painted it in pastels, time to do so again. We’ll use charcoal and pastel pencils in addition to our regular soft pastels – of course I’ll show you how!😊

 

This class is offered at Thomas Place as part of the Community Outreach Program for The City of Fort Worth and requires sign up through them.

Today I’ll show you how to use our acrylics to paint ‘Pensacola Beach’ inspired from an awesome photo taken on a trip some years ago. I’ll show you an easy way to build beautiful clouds and create believable waves 😊
