Discover the unique joys of this powdery medium. It is considered both a drawing and a painting process and is extremely versatile!
This was a well-loved scene of South Padre Sand Dunes the first time we painted it in pastels, time to do so again. We’ll use charcoal and pastel pencils in addition to our regular soft pastels – of course I’ll show you how!😊

Today we will use soft pastels to create ‘Wildflower Meadow’, a lesson inspired from a photo my Mom took around the fields out in Gibtown Texas. I’ll show you how to block in with an alcohol wash before leading you through the rest! 😊

Today we will use soft pastels to create the impressionistic ‘Lago Vista Field’.  I just love the luscious colors and opportunities to express our inner artist with this one and can’t wait to show you how! We’ll use an alcohol wash on a sanded paper which I’ll show you how to make using clear gesso!😊
