Unleash Your Inner Artist with Serendipitous Techniques and Sumi-e Wild Orchids and Butterflies

Zan believes that the chance results that occur when using serendipitous techniques fosters increased creativity and an intimate connection with whatever medium one is working with. Hence, it is one of her favorite ways to connect herself and her students to their inner artist and it’s FUN too!!
Capturing the Essence – one of the reasons I love working with Sumi-e brushes and ink prepared with a stone. A beloved technique that inspires a meditative simplicity, today we’ll explore the process with the traditional sumi-e subject Wild Orchids & add some colorful Butterflies too!😊
As is often the case in Zan’s classes, emphasis will be on technique with encouragement to play with colors and forms if desired.
